Feeder and Busbar protection (Part7)
The overcurrent protection id the simplest and cheapest method of providing protection to the transmission lines. The relays used in this method need readjustment whenever there is change in the system. The operating times of relays used in this method are large.
The overcurrent protection is further divided into following methods,
1. Nondirectional time and current graded method.
2. Directional time and current graded method.
